Practicing outside the caribbean, africa etc

I was talking to a houngan yesterday and he was telling me how it's hard in europe to do magical work for client etc I was actually asking about the trees we have here and how you can do magic with it, he told me he does not always work, it doesn't have the same strength and that magicians from europe who are still in touch with the ancestral practice sknow how to use it but it's hard for us to do it, that why many of them turn to spirit like the goetia or catholic saints. I think it because there is certain trees that you don't find here. but I don't understand there is some trees that people consider as magical here...

what is your thoughts about that guys? personally I had to bring some woods and rocks from the W.I to put on my altar otherwise I don't know how I would do.
Oil lamps magick PM me for inquiries.
