Dee Biography?

Can anyone recommend a good biography of Dr.John Dee?
I am interested in his past work and life leading up to and including the enochian work? Or would you recommend just going to his diary? "The Private Diary of Dr. John Dee"? or John Dee: 1527-1608 by Charlotte Fell Smith is the other one.
