The Theban Calendar

Hi all,
Has anyone experimented with contacting the 360 Heads of the Earthzone using the timing methodology described in the Theban calendar?
Fundamentally the idea is to contact the Head during the time the degree associated with the Head is rising. There have been various versions of the Theban calendar in circulation over the years (an online version can be found here https://earthzonespirits.firebaseapp.com/), but frankly none of them have been even remotely accurate in my experience.
Emil Stejnar mentions in his book that he has found that what works best is the time when the degree is rising for the longitude of your location but with the latitude set for the equator. Has anyone experimented with this method and compared it to simply using the latitude and longitude for your location?
