the documentary is located on the url below...
to stream it, that is, watch it from the site itself
clink either on the megaupload or the zshare buttons (scroll down, they should be under
downloads and streams)

folks.
i do not know if any of you know much about candomble
after much searching, i found this documentary on candomble done by a bosnian
it is in dutch but has english subtitles
it is a great documentary, imo.
i think it was shown in one of those independent documentary film festivals..
unfortunately, it was never widespread and i had a hard time finding it
i look for candomble documentaries as much as i can

things that stood out/im not clear about though:

the main orisha that turned out to rule her head is iansa
second one, oxum
nevertheless, in the film, most of the offerings are done to oxum.
in one scene, the mae mentions that iansa and oxum in this case
turn into one orixa called oxum opara.
this could explain the reason oxum seemed to stand out in spite
that iansa is the main orisha of her head

i did some research and found that oxum opara is a warrior oxum
she is ogum's partner and accompanies xango too
she embodies two elements, water and the wind. makes sense

another thing
there is one scene that deals with a caboclo ceremony
they call the spirits of the forest and the mae
is ridden by one of these spirits, she is given two male cocks
which she twists her necks of and drinks their blood....
does anybody know if all candomble houses do this?
if so, what is the name of this ceremony?
who are these forest spirits? and why would forest
spirits need blood?
i am aware there is what is called candomble de caboclo
which is a category under candomble de angola
in candomble de caboclo, there is a cult to amerindian spirits
maybe, this is it...

enjoy!
