One person defines success differently than another.

Don't believe everything you read on forums.

Big egos, poor self-esteem, grandious delusions and desperation cause people to greatly exaggerate their results.

Of course, none of these exists on THIS forum!
Have you had any success with nap or other books

why do you think you fail? Is it lack of belief? carl Sagan said belief is not required didn't he? I do not agree with that

People resonate differently with different systems .. You will have to find what works for you. I personaly have had great success with NAP .. Others havent. Just like some have better results with say working with the Goetia over the Grim Verum or Nec..

Grab have you recorded each operation in a your magical record (assuming you have) and looked them over to see if something has gone awry (also note the various changes if you made any in each operation)? The medieval magicians always say that if you do such and such then spirit x will manifest in the circle and if it doesn't have happen after saying conjuration x for the 5th time then you prolly made a mistake somewhere down the line. Now I'm not saying that they're totally right but folks do seem to have had success with following their hundreds of years old instructions. Regardless of where one places the various spirits, symbols, etc. the Magician uses, ultimately one is working with something capable of a variety of permutations (that is, working with a 'real' force) so you should be getting something. Perhaps there's something in your demeanor that hinders you from obtaining the object(s) you seek through magical means?

In basic psychic testing utilizing ESP cards there is a set standard which basically anyone should be able to achieve. If one should continuously score well above (usually signifying a developed psychic faculty) or below (this too is an indicator that something is amiss) the average in either case we find interesting results. Perhaps such is your case?
