Blood Moon Meaning

Greetings!
Last night I was receiving instruction from a spirit Im working with, the spirit said I should do what I was instructed to do on next saturday's blood moon, and I would know what to do. Happens there's no blood that day.
Im inclined to believe there was corruption in the message or some misunderstanding on my part, but in any case, doesnt hurt to ask around. Is there any other meaning for "blood moon" besides the astronomical event? Tried to figure out for myself, but to no avail...
