gaining money and losing it

i did some work for money and got some and more is on the way. Buy now my glasses broke so i have to buy a new pair.
So if the magick cause the money to come did it cause it to go for the glasses? Is the glasses co incidence. And if so is the money just co incidence.?
Someone once told me of a chaos technique where if you imagine something you want leaving you it will instead come to you and vice versa. Anyone know about that, could i be doing it without realising, though i don't do chaos
