Is the "Information Model" still a thing?

Hello

I've stumbled upon this ancient (c.1991) piece of text listing various "models" of magic. Here's the link: http://www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos/texts/model.html

One such model is called "Information Model" and I thought it was an interesting idea, even if it's clearly steeped in '90s cyberpunk aesthetic. Of all the models listed, that's the only one that doesn't seem familiar at all to what I've seen practiced generally (in my limited experience anyway).

The text says that it's mainly been studied by the Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros (IOT), which the author, Frater U.'.D.'. , seems to be a part of. The only things I've found with a cursory search was that the IOT imploded after its members started to curse each other over internal politics, stuff like giving other members uterine cancer and such. But I'm not particularly interested in their story. The book this excerpt seems to be a part of, called Dance of the Paradigms. A Chaos Magick Primer, doesn't seem to be indexed on Google at all, so it's either lost media or it was never published. Though it might have come out with a different name, looking up "information model" seem to only dredge up the same text linked above, quoted in other websites and blogs verbatim without further elaboration.

So I ask people here: has the Information Model been studied/elaborated by someone, eventually? Or is it something that only exists in that specific text?

Thanks
