Sorcery, Coercion, and Consent.

This topic is one that's been plaguing me for a while. As magic users we're usually all guilty of using invisible to better our lot in the material plane, usually in the realms of power, finance, and love. The purpose of this post is geared towards the latter.

In the past I have used almost every Goetic 'love' demon to varying degrees of success. But with age and wisdom I appear to have grown a conscience, a moral understanding that I was ignorant of before. As much as I would still very much love to whip out the wand, candles, and incense, conjure a demon, and make a baddie fall madly in love/lust with me, I find myself wrestling with my conscience on it. But by repressing that desire I am reminded of Carl Yung's shadow work. That which we resist, persists.

So I have to wonder, are the use of demons and magic, coercion, not consent?

Is it morally wrong?

Have you done it?

What were the results?

How do you feel about it?

I imagine there will be a varying degree of responses here. I look forward to hearing them.
