I am not sure if this is the proper place or part to scribe off this question in the forum, but so be it. What could one say is the difference in magic and devotion. How they compare and how they contrast. I will say for example in magic we reach to commune with demons, spirits, gods etc etc to develop a relationship to get "things" done correct? But then some people devote themselves to a certain being in ways of devotion ( shrines, offerings, regular rituals) so on and so forth. In turn develop a reciprocal relationship to help get things done. Is this just an etymological kind of situation, are they the same , or are they completely different ? Excuse me if this question is rather elementary, but I pose this question because there are seemingly enough some solid practioners in here who know their stuff.
