I think there are a bunch of threads on the topic, so if you search you will get some info. The best way to find out is to do the work, try out a ritual structure with or without the dee hay thooth.

A tip is to read through the book, and if you like you can do what i did - read through the whole subforum, I learned really much about the system just by doing that and found answers to questions i had yet to ask.

personally, i've used that ritual a couple of times - just to try it out
but i've successfully worked w/ NAP without it.

To be honest, I couldn't tell if it was effective when I did it either, but for a long time, no one seemed to know what it meant -- many people wondered and made suggestions and guesses about it. Finally, I think someone, possibly Raum, offered the best explanation that I had ever read, but by that time, the questions were so deeply ingrained, they were left un-erased in my mental system. Plus, I doubt that many of us could agree upon which directions the gestures should be cut through the air -- although I am extremely sure that my interpretation was correct :D

That said, I am now the one who should do a 'search' and find that marvelous answered supplied a couple of years ago . . . and then try it again. Obviously for it to be effective, one should understand it!

I've done the rituals without using it and had success. I've used it for the first time today. Time will tell if I'll gain more success… but I think a lot of it is to do with the belief you place in it. Gotta say that when I was practising it earlier, it generated good energy within me. So it must be good for something.

When was first reading the book and doing some of the rituals in it, I added Dee Hey Thooth for a while. What I was doing had turned into a kinda long ritual and started pulling in other systems' elements too. As I was experimenting I would add it when I felt I had a lot of time or what I was doing needed more than just the practice of doing it-- kind of a cop out for nights I was too tired or not focused. I didn't know very much and didn't really understand Dee Hey Thooth at all, but it felt great once I got the hang of it. As for effectiveness, I can't really say; I can't really isolate it from other things.

But, I was rereading the book today, and the book opened up to that page. I was looking at a couple of other things, and instead I revisited parts of the book I hadn't really thought about in a while.

I just want to say it's a really good book, and it parts of it fell into place for me in ways I didn't think about before. As for Dee Hey Thooth, I think that part of the book speaks for itself. I'll be doing it a lot more often, actually it's plain as day in the book as to why.
