One of the things I find confusing and perplexing is when adherents of the grimoires, particularly the Key of Solomon, insist that the grimoire be followed to the letter when the contents of many of the known manuscripts seem to lack any kind of internal consistency. Now this problem MAY have been somewhat alleviated by some of the modern translations by Peterson and maybe by Skinner as well, but there are still considerable discrepancies between manuscripts and even considerable inconsistency within any given manuscript itself. So my question is, how do you follow an inconsistent manuscript to the letter?
