I never use triangles!

Hey all,
I have to ask - all the warnings and elaborate ritual about using triangles and circles, well, I never ever used a triangle in an evocation. In fact I only make a circle to hold the energy, not to keep anything out. And I've evoked Lots of entities including goetics. I guess my take on it is that I find it hard to believe that a 2 dimensional shape could "constrain" such a powerful entity. I prefer to invite it and ask for its help in return for some offering. The alternative of summoning it into a triangle and threatening the shit out of it... makes me wonder if that's why so many people have trouble with them? I don't even always banish for the same reasonbut that's prob a bit silly.
Anyway this is as much a question as anything else, I'd love to hear other people's experiences and opinions on this
