Cape Verdian practices?

Hey everyone,
I am now exploring a little more of my heritage. I am 1/4 Cape Verdian particularly from the island of Fogo. They are islands of the coast of Africa. They were owned by Portugal and it was a slave port. It's a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had any idea what kind of practices they may have there if any? I have no contact with this particular branch of my family.
