Synthesizing courses.

Hey, i had an idea but i just wanted to hear your thoughts before i go ahead. i have a number of books that describe a complete course: Modern Magick, High Magick I & II, Self Initiation into the Golden Dawn, Kabbalah Magic, Chakra and Kundalini Workbook (Mumford), Book of Magic Power, Initiation into Hermetics, Inner/Outer/High Temple of Witchcraft, Mastering Astral Projection, Ritual Magic Workbook (Dolores-Ashcroft), Magicians Workbook (tyson), A course in Astral Travel and Dreams (Belzebuub), Psychic Development and Regardie's One Year Manual. As you can see theyre not all the standard golden dawn style and there yoga, meditation, visualisation, and other traditions mixed in. the plan was to take each book and read the first steps then to synthesise the courses to create one full schedule of practise for me to do. I heard that mixing traditions wasnt such a good idea so whats your opinion?
