Non-dualism & the occult?

Do non-dualistic philosophies have the potential to render as much occult lore, as dualistic Judeo/Christian thought?

Academic Q as I have my own stuff, but as mentioned it's usually for "my own higher good" - is there more freedom of thought/potential in J/C thought?

What about Islam?

Does your potential to be powerful as an occult practitioner have an inverse relationship to the extent your religious beliefs offer you enlightenment/merger with the Godhead?
