Ideas for a magical tool/container

Hello, all. I recently purchased some tea from an Asian market in a paper & metal cannister. I am currently thinking about what I could possibly do with it. The general idea is that im going to prime it and then repaint it a corresponding color or pattern with designs. Any ideas? Thank you all in advance.
