I’ve been searching for clarification on the term “stealing a mass”.
I know people do this in Catholic Churches but what exactly is the mechanism? Are you just vampiring the energy of the room during the high point or are you just “making your wishes” during the mass secretly?

The video above at 4:20 (a bit long). I feel is an example of stealing a mass. The speaker is just using the audience’s laughter to bend a spoon that she couldn’t before. That would mean you can steal a mass anywhere: at a concert, at a play, at a movie, at a comedy show, etc. But does the attention need to be on you while you work?
Is there anyone here who does it regularly and sees an improvement of their work?
Are masses with an egregore stronger or does it mostly matter what the people in the room are giving off.
