"The occult processes that render themselves evident through the activities of nature inspire within us profundities that enrich and liven, and yet terribly feast upon the soul with never-ending questions." - excerpt from journal
The activities of humans reflect those of nature in many curious and seemingly coincidental ways. For example, the design of roadways and our cities are reminiscent of rivers (water flow), blood veins, or neurons in the brain. These analyzations point to a possible subconscious "instinct" of man to yet always manifest the nature outside of himself, mirrored unaware in his modern life. Natural symmetry is a fascinating subject and worthy of investigation. The manifold design of nature is yet not forgotten in man himself, even if so far removed. These 'reflexes' from long ago tip-toe behind the veil of conscious awareness.
We do not know why the puffer fish creates, or is even aware of the mandala-like patterns on the ocean floor save for mating. Or if the spider is yet aware of the design of its web, or if the bees with their hive - but in the end the design becomes clear, and its nature is made evident. Yet in humans this is the same: that there are inescapable patterns to our lives that are parts of our very natures. And it is reflected in our everyday lives, and the way in which we operate our societies and social structures.
