Interesting hymn and noetic prayer

Post#1 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 1:15 am

So, as I was reading the Book of Revelation, I started to discern at least one hymn or invocation to God, written in separate sections. I put it together and here it is. If anyone decides to try it out, I would be interested in your results. It seems to have quite a bit of power.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

This following part is from the next chapter. Not sure if the two parts form one hymn or not.

Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Amen.

I'm guessing the second part is a separate hymn. They seem to address different persons of God.

But be thou sure that clear sight shall never man have here in this life: but the feeling may men have through grace when God vouchsafeth.
