Weird sad sensations when working with spirits

So it goes like this. Whenever I am sad about something and I call a spirit for help in that matter, when I start explaining to it what is wrong, I get this feeling of crying, even though it's not that big a deal. Basically, it happens when I start talking to the spirit about my feelings regarding the matter. Doesn't happen with humans, just with spirits. 
Has anyone else experienced this kind of stuff? Is it normal?
