Major shift on the planet

maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that in the past months Western society has experienced a vast acceleration in surveillance programs and oppression against its citizens. The rules and the money to go round are getting ever tighter, and we the 99,99% are being affected considerably. I mean, not that it wasn't bad decades ago, but, excuse my French, shit is really starting to hit the fan now. And there also seems to be stronger resistance movement, and an increase in enlightenment in the collective. To me it feels like we shifted vibrational gears as a collective, for better or worse.
The "Runes about to be banned in Sweden" topic seems to be an example of that, as is Talerman's thread about Decathlon's mandatory member card.
