Enochian/later Crowley HGA

Okay, I've been thinking about this and I'm a bit stumped. In the enochian/later Crowley view, the HGA is not a part of you, but something else. A spirit assigned by God, someone that's been on the path and is ahead of you, etc. So, what do you do with it, if you are able to work with one? What's the point? Work in symbiosis with it, as any other spirit you work and learn from? Evenutally join with it as a singular entity that goes from 'we/us' to 'I/me'? Do you play backgammon with it?
