I have usually evoked them using some variation on the Goetia framework when calling these beings. And they usually manifest in a strong way.
I have posted on this elsewhere, but for example, years ago I evoked Ziku, into a dark mirror. During the proceedings, he stepped out of the mirror, and went around the room in the form of a condensed shadow that was not on the walls (if that makes sense. It could move in 3 dimensions rather than two, unlike regular shadows.) This was completely unexpected, obviously.
What techniques do you use to call them, and which have you worked with successfully?
