Invocation of the zodiac without angels or demons

Hello everyone.
I am doing planetary invocation / initiation following the ptolemaeic path from earth to Saturn, then the zodiac.
Almost all methods I find use the angels at first and afterwards the goetic demons aligning the decans of the zodiac for this process.
Are there methods to use the zodiac via stars, spirits or other forces than angels and demons? I ask, because until now I really liked the work with only the planetary energy without relying on the planetary angels or associated demons.
