Why evoking demon when u...??

Hi guys I may sound silly but I am a beginner in the subject and I always have this question in mind.
I heard evoking the beings can be helpful for you and they can teach you many things you want..and that is great.
What about astral projection? ? Can we do the same by communicate with them and learning from them in astral plane rather than evoking them to our world ?? Hope you all don't mind me
