Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

I wish I could. That folder was destroyed in a flood, and sadly, all the copies of the issues of those publications when they ran the work, were in the same boxes that the water got. I have a hope that the original drafts of them are in a box which is at a family members house on the other side of ...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

He rejected everything i sent in the last few years of it, and then if i remember correctly he published one of my hekate poems. My poetry is always published under the name "snoe white absinthium" and i threw piles of it at every pagan/witchy/magic publication of the era that accepted po...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

Though I'd start a discussion on this aspect of Hekate, Hekate Phosphorus, ie The Shinning One, Light Bringer, Day bringer, Morning Star, etc. Quite a few potential meanings though basically I think one has to look to the term "Phosphorus" itself as Morning star or Venus, specifically the ...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

Computer is sort of acting up so haven't been real active but though i'd give it a go. This is more of a modern take and possibly more of an American slant as don't see to much European talk about it. Most people are familiar with our Statue of Liberty that sits in New York Harbor. It's greeted peop...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

I only have the coonection with metal from Khalkeús name but it is strange now we hear of Chumbley here so he was concerned with Cain the Blacksmith in his writing so again we are back to metals! I was meaning to ask if Hekate was known in Bible lands like Canaan and also was she known by the Phoen...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

Where to begin. For me and, I think, for most people serious about occult study (as opposed to emo LARPing) this entire "current" is suspect. The aesthetic that uses Chumbly-esque language and tries to mimic his AO Spare-influenced art, opportunistic cherry-picking from Kenneth Grant and ...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

With this Temple of Aphrodite was there any joining with Hekate as was said earlier of Hekate-Artemis? Something else I saw not really of this topic but her husband was Khalkeús and this name means"coppersmith"with him being a God of metalworkers. So this is the same thing they say of Yahw...
