Re: luck

I can't help but think it depends on the individual - maybe a stockborker or someone whose carreer and life is about chance, it'd be Labezerin, for me Elubatel came through with some good stuff, and Arzel the most because I started chanelling "luck" etc through my own (NA or whatever) powe...

Re: My book came today...evidently by stagecoach...

I'm no authority on what works with grimoires, but can say that the spells and other stuff from my copy work just fine (varied results, but definitely noticeable) despite the fact the previous owner took a biro and wrote the date of purchase on the inner flyleaf, and the phonetic names of the Mystic...

Re: Difference between will and desire?

Just to add more to the discussion, I think it is important to point out that making logical conclusions about the implications of the concept of True Will is an absurdity at best. It is categorically beyond logical comprehension and definition. Its like trying to fit the ocean into a box ... the o...

Re: Difference between will and desire?

I guess, my issue is, that an act of magick, by it's very definition, is an act of defiance of this balance, e.g., a person/soul etc, wanting to effect a change (mental/physical/spiritual).... Very true - although actually everything from building a house to a doctor saving a patient's life, is an ...

Re: Difference between will and desire?

Thank you...the problem I have with his view, is that if you follow it through to logical conclusion, there is no point in performing a magickal act, as unless your spell conforms to his meaning of true will, it will not work, as it is not your true destiny?.... But that would explain why so many p...

Re: Difference between will and desire?

True Will, (with a capital W) is a transcendental concept which has nothing to do with body, life, or mind, except for the fact that True Will embraces, supports, is imminent in, and also transcends body, life and mind. As in the Neo-Platonic concept of beauty, True Will is that which shines throug...

Re: Powerball Lottery

Think of it as vampirism--but not via people, just their physical working spaces. Spaced out and given enough powerful connections, the drain would hardly be perceptible. Gotcha - that seems reasonable enough, along the lines of the ways some political or social causes raise funds by asking people ...

Re: Difference between will and desire?

I think desire can be affected and even created by externals, eg society - a person might desire a fancy sports car because of the social cachet it carries, and the effect it will have on their peers and people they want to impress. A person in a monastery may secretly desire to be seen as the most ...

Re: Occult Judo Ritual

The last thing I need is to throw something his way only to have it immediately thrown back in my face. If you read the stories in NAP about the dogy hypnotist, the gossiping nurses and the old boxer, in each case the NAP work returned their evil to them, rather than creating a new action that coul...
